Inflation not a major issue for Congress: Modi

BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi while addressing an election rally at  in New Delhi launched a scathing attack on the Congress saying that the Government has done nothing for the people of this country.

Here are a few highlights of his speech:

1. Narendra Modi shares his happiness about the elections being fought by the people this time in Delhi. He also added that election are festivals of democracy.

2. Giving an example of Chattisgarh where Raman Singh went to people and told them what all work their party did in the State, he insisted that all political parties must give answers to the people and tell them about what they did.

3. He condemned the arrogance of Congress Governments in Delhi and Rajasthan stating that they are reluctant to answer people. He also asked people that when Delhi has such big leaders of the Centre, then why don't they meet the public and talk to them.

4. Modi also said, "It is a fashion now- no matter wherever the elections are taking place in the country, yet the Congress wants answers from Gujarat."

5. Modi further went on reminding people all the abuses behind closed doors and allegations by the Congress to attack his popularity in Gujarat last year. He said that despite these dirty tricks and every effort made by the Congress, the people of Gujarat refused to believe them. He also challenged the Central Government saying, "Do not think you can try these tricks anywhere."

6. He attacked the Congress saying, "People do not trust the Congress anymore because of the sins they have committed and have lost peoples trust."

7. He shared,"There is a group of people who keep asking about his vision." He also posed a question to those people who doubt him, "Have they asked the Congress about their vision?" He said that the reason why they asking this is because they fear that BJP is coming to Delhi. Other reason is that they would want to save Congress.

8. He asked people, "When Morarji Desai formed the Government which was also a coalition Government, did prices rise? Or, the did the prices rise when Atal Bihari Vajpayee formed a Government?" And, then he emphasised that prices had risen when the Congress misrule began.

9. He even asked, "When outsiders come cannot we welcome them? But, Congress do not want to do anything about it." Unleashing the attack on the Government, he said, "Mudda niti ka nahi, niyat ka hai." "One Minister in PMO thinks he has got all the brains in the world and the others are brainless", he added. Criticising the comment made by a Congress representative which said "prices are rising because poor are eating two subzis now", he asked people if the prices are rising due to this.

10. "Our Prime Minister is a big economist. We never comment on that aspect. Finance Minister is also very educated. We never challenge that. But, then, he also didn't hesitate to ask people, "This dream team was appreciated. But have not they not ruined the nation?"

11. Modi also stated, "Neither Narasimha Rao nor Vajpayee were considered economists. But still you could have learnt from them. In fact, both Narasimha Rao and Atal Bihari Vajpayee knew about the problems faced by the common people".

12. Attacking the Congress's economic strategies, Modi asked, "Do you believe that if you earn above Rs 26 you are not poor? The same intelligent Minister said is it Government's job to sell onions?" Modi added, "And then Delhi Chief Minister sells onions".

13."Do you not want your own Chief Minister"?, he asked people. And, said that "Dr Harsh Vardhan has been among them for his entire life and he understands their problems"

14. Modi also attacked the Congress for spreading rumours that electricity is expensive in Gujarat than in Delhi. And, then he rejected this by calling it a lie. He stated, "In Delhi, for even 30 units, one has to pay Rs 3.90 and that is not the case in Gujarat. Above 200 units, the price is Rs 5.80 in Delhi, while in Gujarat it is Rs 4.57". "So, who is giving cheaper power"?, he asked.
"Commercial tariffs are also cheaper in Gujarat. Even take industrial power rates", he said.

15. Then indicating to Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, he said, "You do not have to give power to the.farmers. We give power to farmers at affordable rates too".

16. "Congress is not concerned with governance. For everything, they will keep saying that have made acts. Tomorrow, they may make 'acts' even to breathe and drink water."

17. "In Gujarat, we have initiated the concept of One day governance. Why cannot this concept be replicated in Delhi"? asked Modi.

18. "Common Wealth Games was an opportunity to enhance our brand.Forget stealing money, they lost an opportunity to project Delhi in front of the world," commented Modi.

19. Modi promised that his party promises a good governance and is presenting an honourable person as the Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi.

Rai Bareli: Rural poor eye Narendra Modi's promise in Gandhi political bastion

If Sonia Gandhi and her Congress party need evidence that their policies of subsidies and safety nets for India's poor may no longer be enough to keep their support, they need look no further than her own constituency of Rai Bareli. In the family borough in the northern heartland, which has been loyal to India's most powerful dynasty from the days of first Prime Minister Jawaharal Nehru, voters want electricity, hospitals and roads, more than the cheap food on offer.

Such a change of heart threatens to upend the Congress party's central calculation to win next year's election: that poor rural voters who make up the backbone of support will stay loyal because of the big welfare programmes it promotes, including a flagship $21 billion food subsidy scheme. Instead, even in such a bastion of Congress support as Rai Bareli district, opposition leader Narendra Modi's message of growth and investment is gaining ground, despite critics' misgivings about his hardline Hindu nationalist roots and a perceived bias against the nation's minority Muslims.

"We don't need subsidised food ... It's a donation and we don't want that charity," said Arjun Rewal, a farmer in the Rai Bareli hamlet of Shivgarh in the centre of India's most populous state of Uttar Pradesh. "We need hospitals with doctors, we need roads, we need electricity supply and we need someone who can tackle inflation," the 52-year-old said, emphasising his point with a stab of his earth-brown finger. Rewal and the farmers with him, who meet one evening a week in the grounds of an old palace, see Modi as the person who can deliver. "In this area, for the first time, people are talking about another political leader and that is Narendra Modi ," he said. Modi has promised quick reforms and an end to a prolonged period of policy paralysis, pointing to the double-digit pace of expansion in the western state of Gujarat that he has governed for three terms.

Uttar Pradesh sends 80 members of parliament to New Delhi, more than any other state. In the last election in 2009, Congress won 21 seats and Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 10. According to a recent opinion poll by AC Nielsen for the Economic Times, the BJP could win 27 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the next election, due by May, with Congress winning just 12.

Rahul Gandhi, Nehru's great grandson, looks likely to lead the Congress into the election, but he was generally seen as lacklustre at state election rallies in Uttar Pradesh in 2012.

EXPECTATIONS

But it is not Rahul Gandhi's oratory that voters in his family's old constituency, first held by Nehru's son-in- law, Feroze Gandhi and now by Rahul's mother, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, are worried about. With inflation outpacing agricultural growth for nearly a decade, many villagers have seen benefits eroded. In addition, demand is rising for pulses, dairy products and vegetables, which are not subsidised.

Sikar knows before rest of country about outcome of elections: Narendra Modi

BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will again woo voters in Ajmer on Thursday. Later in the day, he will deliver speeches in Sikar, Khinsvar and Bhilwara.

On Monday, Modi had launched an attack on Congress while addressing a rally in Khetri, he had said,"How will a government that cant save the rupee, save industries. All round development requires equal attention on all the three sectors- agriculture, industry and the service sector. State government has done nothing for them. Will you bring such government to power again. Let us see what falls first, the rupee or Centres honour."He further accused central government of suffering from policy paralysis.

While citing the works done by his predecessors in the party, he had honoured former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. "It was Atal Bihari Vajpayee who conducted nuclear tests. There were international sanctions, a weak leader would have been scared, but not BJP. Atal ji did not let value of the rupee fall, economy was strong in his rule. But see what is happening today under economist PM," he had said while appealing to uproot the Congress from every corner of Rajasthan and make BJP win in every booth.
He was quick to retaliate to Sonia's 'BJP is poisonous remark' during her Kota rally, assoon as he took to the stage in another rally in Banswara the same day.
He said "Madam's Shehzada once said in Jaipur that his mother told him that power is poison. They ruled the country for almost 50 years since Independence...then who has tasted poison for a longer period...it is Congress...then who else can be more poisonous (than Congress)."

As passing of each day brings close December 1- the D-day for all political parties aiming for a win in Rajasthan assembly polls, Narendra Modi's attack against state and central Congress leadership and his appeal to voters to vote for BJP has assumed a fiercer tone. Rajasthan voters will see yet another sharp pitch by him on Wednesday as they gather in Ajmer to attend his rally.

Omar 'panic stricken' ahead of Modi's Jammu rally: BJP

Due to Narendra Modi's growing
popularity in Jammu and Kashmir , Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is "panicked" ahead of the Gujarat Chief Minister's rally on December 1 here.

"The observations made by the chief minister about Modi's rally to be held here on December 1 are only indications of panic and tension in the mind of the Chief Minister because of Modi's growing popularity in the state," BJP chief spokesman Jitendra Singh said.

Abdullah, while addressing a rally in the city, had said that BJP will open old Pandora's Box in December 1 rally and asserted that PDP, BJP thrive on "wedging apart society".

Packed maidan in Kota sings Modi, Modi

The Maharaj Umaid maidan overflowed with people who wanted a glimpse of BJP's prime minister candidate Narendra Modi even though Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had on Saturday warned that terrorists may try to disrupt assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Some people even travelled 50 km to listen to their 'sher' (lion) and the usually vacant roads of Kota on a Sunday was filled with vehicles carrying supporters to the ground.

Chants of 'Modi, Modi' reverberated like 'Sachin, Sachin' as the BJP leader took to the podium.

Modi, who could not hold the rally on a bigger venue at Ramlila Maidan on account of security issues, played to the audience standing outside Maidan saying that the ground may not have enough space for them, but they have a bigger place in his heart.

Modi's attempt to make his speech interactive by involving the crowd had a telling impact on the people who would break into raptures every now and then.

While the ground was packed on Saturday when UPA chairpersons Sonia Gandhi addressed the gathering, Modi lived to his reputation of being a bigger crowd puller. There was not even an empty space on the boundary walls of the ground. The balmy evening on Sunday seemed to be winning over the day's harsh sun.

Notwithstanding the security concerns raised by the prime minister, the entry to the ground was lax and no metallic scanner was used and people flowed in without check unlike Sonia Gandhi's rally where a meticulous body scanning was done.

Modi's rally was a much awaited event in the city as many youths in the maidan who were passionate in their support said the BJP leader is a lion and the country needs a strong leader like him to bring order and development to the country.

Before Modi arrived, BJP candidates contesting the assembly elections from Kota including Prahlad Gunjal and Om Birla had worked up the crowd with their forceful speeches and the people seemed to have found the mood when finally Modi came out to speak.

Narendra Modi to address four rallies in Rajasthan today

A week ahead of the state Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will address four rallies in Rajasthan on Sunday. Modi will be addressing rallies in four parts of the state including Banswara and Chittorgarh areas.

The rallies in Rajsthan comes a day after the Gujarat Chief Minister addressed a rally in Delhi and said that the policies of Congress were only focussed on winning elections and not towards country's development.

He also addressed a rally in Madhya Pradesh and targeted Congress for "doing nothing for poor."

Voting for Assembly Elections in Rajasthan will be conducted on  December 1.

Congress didn't want to end poverty as it feared losing power: Narendra Modi

Attacking Congress for "doing nothing for the poor", BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today said the ruling party, over generations, never wanted to educate people and eliminate poverty as it was afraid of being stripped of power.

"Congress knows that the moment masses get educated, their chairs will be in danger," Mr Modi said, addressing a poll meeting in Mandsaur on the last day of campaigning for Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh on November 25. Targeting the Nehru-Gandhi family, he said, 'Why are four generations of a family saying the same thing (on poverty) but doing nothing for the people of the country." Mr Modi alleged that the Congress is "not doing anything for the poor because it knows that if the country gets rid of poverty, they will be out of power." "Whenever elections come, Congress keeps chanting the name of the poor. But they will do nothing (to remove it). If poverty goes, so will their chairs," he remarked. The BJP leader recalled the days of the Emergency and the polls held in 1977 and urged "people to fight the elections". "I can say after touring Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan that people are fighting these elections (this time)," he said.

The Gujarat Chief Minister also heaped praised on his Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chouhan for launching a series of developmental programmes in the state. "I won't talk of Gujarat. There are two governments, one in Madhya Pradesh and other Rajasthan. See the difference in their work and then decide for whom to vote," Mr Modi said.

Without naming Congress General Secretary and former chief minister Digvijaya Singh, Mr Modi said ten years ago, a person had done 'Bantaadhar' (made it worse) of the state, but in the last ten years, things had changed. Targeting Congress for its "groupism", Mr Modi said an MP of the region was locked by the warring factions of the party sometime back. He was referring to Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan.

The Gujarat Chief Minister claimed that according to his information, the lock was opened only after Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi intervened.

Narendra Modi to rally in Delhi

The BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will be addressing the residents of west and south Delhi to vote for him and his party at his public rally in Dwarka on Saturday. According to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the rally at DDA Park in Sector 14 at 5 p.m. will cover 10 assembly constituencies of west Delhi and two of south Delhi - Palam and Bijwasan.

"BJP candidates from the 12 constituencies will attend," said a party official. Unlike Mr Modi's earlier extravagant "Vikas Rally" at the Japanese Park in north Delhi's Rohini sub-city Sep 29, the Dwarka rally would be "simple" and incur "minimum expenses".

Mr Modi will also be addressing two more rallies in Delhi -- November 30 and December 1, just days before the December 4 assembly polls. The November 30 rally will be held in East Delhi, New Delhi and Chandni Chowk, while December 1 rally will be held in Ambedkar Nagar in South Delhi.

"The agenda of the rallies would be highlighting party's plans for development of the city while exposing the Congress' misrule of 15 years," said BJP's Delhi unit president Vijay Goel.

Narendra Modi addresses rally in Agra

Narendra Modi addressed Vijay Shankhnad Rally here on Thursday. Security arrangements were beefed up for the occasion with National Security Guard commandos, Special Task Force personnel from Gujarat and over 1,000 state policemen deployed at Kothi Meena Bazar Ground for the rally.

Metal detectors were put up at the entrance gates while parking spaces were set up several kilometres away from the venue.

The security authorities are taking no chances when it comes to Modi's rally in the wake of the serial blasts in Patna on October 27 that killed five persons besides injuring several others.

The Intelligence Bureau has recently cautioned against terror outfits like the Indian Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Toiba widening their networks to carry out deadly attacks in India. This has made the security authorities all the more careful about taking full security measures at the rallies of Modi.
High points of what Modi said at the rally:

1. Tourism business will cross 3 trillion dollars but will Agra gain from this, asked Modi at the rally, saying it won't because of the mindset of the rulers in Delhi.

2. Agra is a major tourism centre. Shouldn't it have an airport. asked Modi.

3. The Centre and the state government blame each other but none do anything.

4. Agra is located near the Yamuna River yet it has a major problem with clean drinking water. He slams the state government for not taking care of what is needed on the ground, Modi said.

5. High time we make value addition to what farmers produce, Modi said.

6. Parties like the BSP and SP have learnt vote-bank politics from the Congress and have added colours to it, he said.

7. Only development as an agenda can put an end to issues like casteism, communalism and dynasty politics, Modi said.

8. The UP govt has not provided basic amenities to the people of Agra, Modi said.

9. Modi slams the SP government over the poor electricity situation in the state.

10. Modi tears into the Congress, SP and BSP.

Can you trust Congress? Narendra Modi in MP rally

Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed a rally here in poll bound Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday and launched a scratching attack on the Congress and lauded Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Addressing the people gathered for his rally, Modi said that he was not in Shandol district for an election visit. “I am not here only to ask for votes, this district is a Tirth Kshetra (religious place) for me,” he said. Sounding poll buggle in Madhya Pradesh, Modi heaped praise for Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and said that the BJP government has worked towards development.

“Shivrajji's government has worked towards every section of the society,” Modi added. Modi also lauded the lauding the phenomenal work of Chouhan in improving maternal heath in the state. “The people of Madhya Pradesh consider Shivrajji as their own and consider him as part of their family.” He also congratulated the MP Chief Minister for giving opportunities to the youth and building medical and engineering colleges. Attacking the Congress, the BJP leader said, “people are angry with the Congress. They want to punish it.” Modi asked the people whether the Congress worked for women and children in the last fifty years.

Praising Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Gujarat Chief Minister said that the former prime minister created a separate ministry and allotted a separate budget for ‘adivasis’. Attacking the Congress on the issue of giving rights to adivasis, Modi told the people that “Congress comes to ask for your votes and talks about poor, marginalised.” “Congress feels by taking name of poor 50 times a day they become compassionate for the poor,” said Modi. Modi said: “In whichever state the BJP is in power it has put on efforts for the development of tribal communities.”

Raising the poll pitch in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP leader asked the people to distance themselves from Congress as the grand old party has broken promise. “Poor do not like to beg or get things for free. They want a life with dignity, they want to work & earn a living, but our Congress friends mock the poor.” “The Congress promised to reduce prices in 100 days. Did that happen,” Modi asked the gathering.

Modi said that whatever promise the Congress is making in Madhya Pradesh, it should first try to implement in statel like Maharashtra, Karnataka which are being governed by it. The crowd shouted a no when Modi asked, “Can you trust Congress promises or the words of their leaders.” The BJP leader also accused the Congress of misleading the people and asked the electorate to never trust the grand old party.

Narendra Modi addresses 3.5 lakh people in Bangalore

Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi addressed around three lakh people at ‘biggest rally’ in Bangalore which toke place at the Palace Grounds.
Around three lakh people had reportedly registered for the rally by paying Rs 10 as entry fee each person.

BJP will donate the amount collected from the rally for the construction of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue in Gujarat. Excerpts from his Bangalore speech:

* Bangalore's youth has made the country proud. Apart from Silicon Valley, only Bangalore has some massive IT undertakings.

* The attacks on BJP and Modi have become sharper because they can neither bring about such rallies, nor digest the fact that they cant.

* I have come to this city many times, never has any election campaign visit seen such a huge rally. Like a saffron sea all around.

* For the first time, under Atal Bihari Vajpayee's govt a different IT ministry was created.

* Our youth have done well all over the world, especially in the IT sector. And Bangalore leads the way.

* In 2003 Atalji announced Moon Mission from Red Fort, in 2008 Chandrayan was a success. Mangalyaan was continuation of that S&T policy.

* They (Congress) are cut off from real world, they live in ivory towers, they are indoor players, we are outdoor players.

* UPA wants to get rid of gau-raksha, for vote bank.Just like they got rid of POTA, for vote bank. It gave rise to terrorism & Naxalvaad.

* Instead of giving subsidies to slaughter houses, If incentives had been brought in for software engineers, then the economy wouldn't have deteriorated.

* Congress promised to give jobs to youth but I ask you if they gave you jobs? No. They also rendered our youth jobless.

* We are blessed that we have a vibrant democracy. Our other strength is we are most youthful nation in the world.

* Supreme Court mey kehte hain Koyle kii file kho gayee. Arey file nahii poori sarkar kho gayee. Hindustan ki toh life kho gayi hai.

* UPA is sitting on ivory towers. They are indoor players we are outdoor players.

* The rupee is falling, looks like UPA's rupee is in ICU.

* In 2011 Congress opened the Skill Development Advisory Office. And then, in 2013 they shut it.

* Skill development is important, but our govt has allocated just Rs 1000 cr for it. While Gujarat has allocated Rs 800 cr for it.

* UPA started pink revolution. Export of meat. Because of this, animals being cut up in large numbers.

* The government is trying to suppress the voice of youth on social media.

* They are questioning TV channels in a threatening manner why did you telecast Modi's speech on 15th August.I am just a Chief Minister.

* The government does not respect Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar.

* Great men are far-sighted. But when the system falls in wrong hands, what happens you know very well.

* Our priority is to empower the youth so that India can move forward.

* A few days back, Lata Mangeshkar said that Modi should become PM. UPA said she should be ripped off her Bharat Ratna.

* In democracy do people not have the right to say what they want? Cong doesn't believe in democracy.

* The govt is not running on efficiency, it is running because of CBI.

* Chidambaram said if u spend Rs 15 for water Rs20 for ice cream why not Re 1 for rice. Is this the way to talk about urban middle class.

* Centre is not surviving because they have a majority. It is running due to CBI.

* In Wankhede, people were betting will Sachin score a century or will onion prices reach a century.

* They keep saying power is poison, and pretend to 'protect' people from this 'poison'. This so called poison is only for one family?

* We need to move forward towards clean governance. We need to eradicate stagnancy. I have full faith in the citizens of this country.

* Now chant with me, " Bharat Mata Ki Jai!"

* I thank the 3.5 lakh people who paid Rs10 to come for this rally, it is an honor.

The rally in Karnataka is crucial for the party which is hoping to work the Gujarat Chief Minister magic to bring the party back to power in the state.

Modi inaugurates TCS facility

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday appealed to IT technocrats to work for technological interventions that can change the life of the poor and lead every sector of society towards progress. “Information technology should be used to its maximum potential and common man should be empowered by using technological interventions,” Mr. Modi said after inaugurating the country’s largest software firm’s state-of-the-art 10,000-seat TCS Garmia Park campus in Gandhinagar. “There is a myth that IT is for rich people only. Technological intervention can change the life of poor and more and more technology can be used to upgrade the life of poor people,” Mr. Modi said.

Mr. Modi, also the prime ministerial candidate for BJP, cited the example of his home state, saying computerisation of the PDS system is yielding better service to the poor people. He also mentioned about his ‘Swagat’ online programme in which any person from anywhere in Gujarat can complain to the chief minister regarding the grievances faced by them. “Prime Minister may be able to remove corruption or not, but you can do it,” Mr. Modi told the young IT experts of TCS.

He said the Gujarat check-post at the border with Maharashtra is earning Rs. 400 crore more per year than the one in the neighbouring state despite the fact that same number of vehicles pass through both the check posts. “We have technological supervision of our check-posts and they do not have it. Government sitting in Gandhiangar, can monitor flow of vehicles and tax collected so the collection on our side is high. This is not done by any chief minister but has been made possible by young IT professionals,” Mr. Modi said.

Developed in over 25.5 acres of land with a built-up area of 1.6 million square feet, Garmia park is the latest addition to the company’s global network of software development and delivery centres, he said. “This will go a long way in dispelling the myth that in Gujarat IT industries are not developed,” Mr. Modi said. Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry said “10,000 IT professionals will get jobs at the newly-built TCS Garima Park here”.

He said Tata Group had long standing relationship with Gujarat with presence of various group companies in the state. “TCS has played a pioneering role to make Gujarat an attractive IT destination for global companies and also helped drive technology-led growth by investing in talented youth of the state,” TCS CEO and MD N. Chandrasekaran said. “We are delighted to launch our new world-class campus in Gandhinagar. This will help TCS further scale up its presence and drive the expansion of the IT industry in Gujarat,” he added.

Modi to address three more rallies in Delhi

Three more rallies of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, are lined up in Delhi before the assembly elections.

Delhi election in-charge Nitin Gadkari said Modi had agreed to be in Delhi for three days - November 23, 30 and December 1. “We are working on the venue and other details,” said Gadkari.

Party sources said campaigning in Madhya Pradesh would end on November 23. He is expected to address a meeting in Delhi on the evening itself. The rallies will be targeted at the Aam Aadmi Party. “The thrust will be to bring to light the perspective that AAP is working in tandem with the Congress so that the focus shifts from the poor governance of Congress before the elections,” added another leader.

“Modiji is expected to be in Delhi on November 30, which is a Saturday. He has informed the state unit that he is available for campaigning and he will address meetings wherever they say,” said a senior BJP leader.

Senior leaders said poor governance of the Congress would be the focus of all the rallies. Earlier, senior leaders, including Modi, were supposed to campaign only for a day each. But the party decided to go full guns for the Delhi elections. Modi told the Delhi unit that these elections were crucial keeping in mind the general elections and the mood of the voters was in BJP’s favour.

“On December 1, he will address a public meet after returning from Jammu and Kashmir. The last rally of Narendra Modi elicited tremendous response from the public and we are hoping to repeat the same,” added another leader. BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said a number of other senior leaders would campaign for the Delhi elections. These include LK Advani, Varun Gandhi, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitely, Rajnath Singh, Vinod Khanna.

Modi to hold rally in Agra on November 21

After Bahraich, the BJP has decided to
hold Narendra Modi's rally at Kothi Meena Bazar, Agra on November 21, state BJP chief Laxmikant Bajpayi said. Agra, which falls under Braj region of the BJP, has only one MP Ram Shanker Katheria from Agra (reserved) constituency. Crowd of over 3 Lakh can be expected in Modi's Rally.
The local leaders have been asked to mobilise support for the party's prime ministerial candidate's rally in Agra. Eight districts of Braj Kshetra will be represented in the rally, according to the organising committee's head Purushottam Khandelwal.

Youngsters and techies e-register for Modi rally in Bangalore

The BJP's backroom boys are trying to
get a fix on the profile of the audience at its NaMo rally on Sunday.
The online registration for prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's rally at Bangalore Palace on November 17 shows that techies and youngsters in the age group of 18-40 years are taking the trouble to indicate their presence at the event. The registration on the party's website is meant for those who want to attend but haven't been able to buy the Rs 10 coupons which are mandatory for entry. The form asks for the name of the person, age, gender, occupation, mobile number, residence address as well as assembly and Lok Sabha constituency. While only the date of birth is optional, all other fields in the form have to be mandatorily filled.
The registrant receives an acknowledgement to her email id which has to be shown at the venue entrance to pay Rs 10 on Sunday. "The profile details are helping us get an idea of who is attending the rally. Only those serious will bother to go through the process of registration. This is the beginning and for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, online registration to hear Modi speak may be mandatory,'' party sources said.
According to party spokesperson and MLA S Suresh Kumar, online registration had clocked over 41,000 till Monday evening with most registrants from Bangalore and Mysore.
A party functionary said the online registration idea was conceived after the party BJP started getting emails enquiring about Modi's rally in Bangalore as the dates kept shifting from October to November. Some of those who had registered had started posting screen shots of the
acknowledgement on social media sites. The party has decided to keep registration open till one hour before the rally scheduled to commence at 11am.
